Our Story
I decided to start the business SpaRitual Bliss because I noticed that in the community where I was born and raised, I never saw places that allowed people to have a holistic healing experience. There were very few places that catered to the overall wellness of the individual. Many places focused solely on beauty such as hair and nail salons and barber shops. Although these places have their importance, they are not the only things that create a healthy, happy individual.
When I ventured outside of my neighborhood, I found places that considered other aspects of myself beyond my physical identity. When I visited many of these holistic places, I became intrigued by the array of services that considered my mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being as well. Surely if these places exist outside my neighborhood, they must be beneficial to the people I see every day; the people who looked like me and shared similar stories.
I was further invested when I realized how profoundly these holistic services shaped my life and allowed me to express myself in a way I had not done before. I was able to bring healing to my life and find a deeper meaning for many of my past experiences. By simply making time for myself to be in places that energized deep caring and understanding, my perspective in many areas of my life changed.
SpaRitual Bliss becomes essential because people deserve to have places that speak to their inner being without judgment and with compassion. My community deserves a place to call their own that is not a faraway destination. Sparitual Bliss therefore is not an escape to a part-time vacation but rather it is an integration of the most sacred and mundane parts of ourselves. SpaRitual Bliss dares to embody the fact that in our society, “Rest is revolutionary” and we will take great strides to achieve just that.
